Need help measuring your Loft height?
In order for a loft conversion to be constructed to Building Regulations there needs to be a minimum height of 7ft / 2.2m in your existing loft space. The measurement needs to be taken from the top of the ceiling joists to the underside of the ridge beam in older properties or to the underside of the trusses in newer properties; please do not measure to the felt / tiles.
If your loft meets this required height then it can be converted and we can schedule an appointment for a no-obligation survey.
If your loft falls just below this required height and you have particularly high ceilings to the floor below (usually in older properties), then providing it is feasible, you may have the option of lowering the existing ceilings to create the additional loft height required.
